Construction and Real Estate Development
For more than thirty-five years, the Roth family has been developing multifamily projects in the New York metropolitan area, acting in the dual role of developer and contractor. George Roth started his profession in the building and construction industry almost fifty years ago as a consultant-engineer. A significant ten-year portion of his early career was spent at Schiavone Construction Co., where he worked primarily as a construction manager and claims advisor in his dual capacity as lawyer and engineer. His two sons, Michael Meir and Gary, are partners in the business with over two decades of similar experience and professional degrees. Notable early projects include The Lee Gardens Condominium in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY, a unique project for the development of 27 four-family buildings, that helped reshape the surrounding industrial neighborhood to the thriving residential community that exists there today. Another noteworthy development was the 130-unit Gretsch Guitar Building condo development, part of the Williamsburg bridge skyline, where penthouse units sold in the range of $1,000,000.00 – $3,000,000.00, an almost unheard-of price range at the time. The mixed-use building at 341 Eastern Parkway, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY was completed, comprising 63 residential units plus 3 retail tenants, including Capital One and Starbucks. Over the past many years various additional residential multi-family buildings were completed successfully in Williamsburg, Crown Heights, Fort Greene, Greenpoint, Midwood, Astoria, and Far Rockaway. In addition to being continuously active with New York area developments we have recently expanded our reach to the Florida multifamily sector.
